John Wayne Gacy

John Wayne Gacy was born on March 17, 1942, in Chicago. When he was eleven he was hit on the head by a swing, and would suffer blackouts from then on. When he was sixteen he was diagnosed with a blood clot on the brain and later he developed heart trouble. Gacy buried the bodies of almost 40 boys in and around his house. Two years previous his arrest he had built a garage and drive way over a pool he was supposed to have filled in. He burried 28 bodies in the pool and in a four foot crawl space under his house. He poured lime over the bodies to minimize smell and help them decompose faster. When he finally ran out of room, he threw the bodies in the Des Plaines river. Gacy had two wives and two children from his first wife. His first wife divourced him when he was sent to prison for raping an employee, and his second wife left him because of his temper or the peculiar odor that hung around the house. Gacy used the contracting buisness to lure young boys into his home. He would offer them a job and when they came for an interview, he would rape and murder them. He also would drive around looking for boys and invite them to smoke marijuana with him in his car or house. Then he would rape and kill them. Many were shocked to find out of the accusations against Gacy because he was such an outstanding citizen. He had gone to buisness school, become a shoe salesman, and helped his wife's family with a friend chicken buisness. He even had been known to dress up like Pogo the clown and visit childrens hospitals. He was a member of the junior chamber of commerce and the bell choir. "He was known as an affable man who badly wanted to be liked, and who tried to buy popularity with generosity. He was also known as a liar and a boaster." The act that finally brought Gacy into the police's eye was when he abducted 15 year old Robert Priest. Robert had told his mother he was going to stop off at a man's house to talk to him about a job that would pay a higher salary than his job at the pharmacy. He was expected home around 6:30. At 9:30 when he had not come home his mother called his father. They called the police at 11:30 and the police investigated and found out the man Robert was supposed to see was Gacy. The police checked Gacy's background and obtained a search warrant. They questioned him about Robert Priest and discovered a trap door leading to a crawl space below his house. There was heavy odor, and they saw bodies and human bones with their lights. Gacy admitted to killing 32 teenagers and forcing them to have sex with him. He was off by one. He then changed his mind and proclaimed himself innocent and continued to claim this to his grave. Gace had a long line of charges behind him. In 1971 he had been arrested for picking up a teenager and trying to force him to have sex. Another man accused him of holding a gun to his head so he would have sex. He told this man of the man he had already killed. He was sentenced to 10 years of prison in Waterloo, Iowa for handcuffing an employee and trying to sodomize him, paying a youth to perforn fellatio on him and then hiring someone to beat him up for telling the police. On March 21, a 27 year old named Jeffrey Rignall accused Gacy of drugging, raping and flogging him but Gacy was not convicted because it was decided that the drug used had altered the boys memory and they couldn't be sure of what he was saying. He was also seen chasing after a nude boy who was screaming for help and bleeding, but onlookers said it must be a gay lover fight. John Gacy also known as 'The Clown Killer' was convicted of raping, torturing and killing thirty-three boys in 1980 and sentenced to death. While on death row Gacy painted many pictures of pgo the clown, Hitler, Jeffrey Dahlmer, and his three dwarfs (Schizo, Pathological, and Remorseless) He also made a 900 number (1-900-622-GACY) so people could call for 2 dollars a minute and listen to him talk for 15 minutes about how he was innocent. Fans were even swapping trading cards of their favorite murderers. He was executed fourteen years later by lethal injection in Joliet, Illinois.
